Catching up…

It has been a busy summer keeping 2 girls entertained, and several trips near and far.
Read backward to Canada Day to see how our summer went!

Vancouver Wedding

We had one more wedding to go to this summer, Simons buddy Aaron and his beautiful bride Katrina. it was a really nice location at Lonsdale Quay.

They are both avid motorcyclists, that’s her engagement ring is on the left.

The happy couple:

Marc and Simon:

We clean up pretty good…

but that doesn’t mean we have to be boring…

What to do on a hot summer day in Revy…

The Atlantic Coast

Simon’s first time on THIS SIDE of the Atlantic Ocean.

We ate all of the lobster and seafood that we could in our two short days. A giant lobster each for dinner, bacon-wrapped fresh scallops at the wedding, and lobster eggs Benedict as our parting meal.

Maritime Wedding

Simon and I travelled to Nova Scotia for the wedding of our friends, Jason and Lea. Even though the day started foggy and raining in Halifax, the weather was beautiful for the happy couple.

It was our first time away from the kids for more than a day or so, we had a great time. Thanks for inviting us Lea and Jason!

We took quite a few boat rides this summer on our friend Jordy’s boat.
A nice but cool day with our family…

Another fun day with our German friend, Dana…

Lea’s Stagette

We couldn’t let the lovely Leah off the hook before she took the step into marital bliss. The organized a day of fun, frivolity, and lots of laughs.
The day started off at Apex rafting, and of course we had to make sure that Lea was dressed up as any bride-to-be should be and extra safe in the water.

Lea got the prime seat in front.

It tends to be a bit wet up there!

We are a silly bunch:

We had a dinner of many delicious appetizers followed by some fun and games. A beautifully dressed up Lea had to guess which pair of undies was picked by whom, with consequences if she guessed wrong.

Canada Day 2012

We celebrated Canada Day at our friend’s cabin on Mara Lake. They have an annual celebration with many attendees. There was no shortage of young kids this year. Emily and Maddie made some new friends.

The trampoline was always full, each kid here has a glow stick:

Of course there was some very Canadian canoeing:
lots o kids

Our friend, Dana, is visiting from Bavaria, she got right into the Canadian spirit:

And there was the usual tournament of bocce, beersby, and horse-shoes. Pictured here is two of the Femme Fatales team vs. the Bad Hatters, on their way to a 11-6 victory. Mention should be given to Team Super Awesome for winning this year.
