I can&#8217;t say why exactly we were so excited, perhaps it&#8217;s the familiarity of being surrounded by English-speaking people, or perhaps the knowledge that we are in a relatively safe environment, but definitely coming home to mom&#8217;s cooking is always a treat!<br \/>\nOur travels have not ended yet, we spent a week in Toronto visiting friends and relatives. We visited the McMichael Gallery, which has a large number of paintings by the Group of Seven. Lawren Harris is one of my favourite painters. This modern interpretation of a totem pole was quite interesting.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/huntadventures.ca\/our-travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSC_8567.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/huntadventures.ca\/our-travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSC_8567.jpg\" alt=\"Modern totem\" title=\"Modern totem\" width=\"560\" height=\"978\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1388\" srcset=\"http:\/\/huntadventures.ca\/our-travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSC_8567.jpg 560w, http:\/\/huntadventures.ca\/our-travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSC_8567-171x300.jpg 171w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nSimon had a jam night with our friend Carl, while our kids played with theirs.
