Great White Hunters

September 20, 2011

Well, the annual Hunt hunt has come and gone again. All the blue grouse in the Cariboo-Chilcotin region can breathe a little easier. This has been a tradition for Simon and his dad, brother, uncles and cousins for maybe 40 years. As time has passed it has evolved into more mountain biking and extreme croquet than in the past; and of course target and skeet shooting from their camp. It’s a pretty nice setup they’ve got, complete with giant bonfire:

These boys do not rough it in the food department. It’s gourmet all the way. Here’s our cousin coking up the fresh grouse:

All in all it’s a great chance for some of our family to get together, have some laughs, and uphold a long-standing tradition.
